How do we carry out the transfer?

We start with the basics: your pet's (or pets') information

We need to know your pet’s breed, age and approximate weight. If you can, a little photo would be great too (so we can start getting to know them 😃). With this information, plus the place of origin and destination, we can already give you a quote.

We book the plane tickets

We ask you for some necessary personal details and a deposit to make sure you’re 100% committed and want to go ahead with the transfer, and then we arrange to book the tickets on the dates that suit you best. Afterwards, we send you the screenshot so you have it on hand. There’s also the possibility of your pet traveling on one of the flights we already have scheduled.

We check that your pet meets all the requirements

We take care of validating that your pet meets all the requirements needed to leave Argentina and enter the destination country in question: vaccines, deworming, health certificates, a microchip (if required), SENASA’s CVI, among other things. But don’t worry, if your pet is missing any of these, or you don’t know how to get them done, we take care of it.

We bring you the carrier crate

Getting your pet used to the carrier crate is essential. It’s where they’ll spend a good few hours during the flight. They need to feel comfortable and safe inside it, like it’s their own “little house”. That’s why we’ll bring the crate to your home (either in person or by courier) well in advance, and we’ll explain how to help your pet adapt to it properly.

We pick up your pet

A few days before the flight date, we pick up your pet from your home. By this point, you may have already traveled and be in the destination country, having left your pet for a few days at a family member’s or friend’s house in Argentina. We’ll go pick them up and bring them to our facilities. We’ll take care of them with all the love in the world, and of course give them water, food and playtime. We’ll also take the chance to get to know them well and learn how to communicate with them throughout the whole transfer.

We set off on the trip

On the day of the flight, your pet will travel with a companion from our team. Depending on their size, your pet will travel in the cabin or in the plane’s cargo hold:
  • If they travel in the cabin, our companion will be with them at all times. They’ll travel in a soft-sided carrier bag, placed at their feet (under the seat in front). Generally, the weight limit for the cabin is 10kg.
  • If they travel in the cargo hold, it will be in a section specially prepared for pets (in technical terms, the “Hall 5”), fully pressurized and climate-controlled. In other words, your pet will never be short of air or anything like that. Your pet will travel calm and safe in the same carrier crate they already used in the previous days, which will also be lined with absorbent pads so they can relieve themselves without ending up dirty or wet.

We deliver your pet to you

Finally, on arrival at destination, we hand your pet over to you in person. We can meet at the airport, or arrange to bring them straight to your front door — whichever you prefer. We take a little photo together and say our goodbyes 😊

We stay in touch

You already have our number, so you can write to us whenever you like if any question comes up about a future transfer or about caring for your pet in their new country. We also always like to ask each family how they felt about the service and whether there’s anything we can improve.

Frequently asked questions

Don’t worry, we have IATA-approved carrier crates. It’s important to know how to choose the right size for each pet, and make sure they comply with the regulations required by each airline. The carrier crate is already included in our service.
The microchip is a device that identifies your pet and is needed to verify that you are their legitimate owner (among other things). If it’s required, we offer a microchip implantation and certification service, carried out by a licensed veterinarian.
In case of any kind of emergency, our team has licensed veterinarians available 24 hours a day. If your pet already has any particular medical condition, please let us know so we’re aware of it.
We always recommend at least 1 month in advance, so we can organize and plan everything in the best possible way. But ideally, if you’re able to, we recommend doing it 2 or 3 months in advance, to find the best possible options in terms of plane tickets and date availability, both for the companion and for your pet.
No, the price we quote you is final. Also, since this is a transfer with a companion (and not as cargo), there’s no need to pay for customs clearance once the pet arrives at the destination airport.
No, we also carry out transfers to and from other countries, but keep in mind that depending on the country and the context there may be more restrictions, making it a bit more complicated. Message us privately about your particular situation!
